Cumberland Island

Cumberland Island is 17.5 miles long and totals 36,415 acres of which 16,850 are marsh, mud flats, and tidal creeks. Cumberland Island, Georgia's southernmost barrier island, is situated three miles of the mainland and limits visitation to 300 people per day. You must make a six-month advance reservation to gain access to the island.
